July 27 | 2–3PM

216 Main Street, Suite C-100 | Edwards, CO 81632

Join us for a spirited conversation with Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation Executive Director Anna Laymon to learn more about establishing a monument to honor the women who laid the path to our freedom and rights!

Refreshments will be served!

Fewer than 5% of outdoor monuments in the United States tell women’s stories. We’re here to change that. The Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation was designated by Congress to establish a monument in Washington, D.C. that shares the history of the early movement for women’s equality. And we need your support.

Anna Laymon

Anna Laymon has joined the Foundation as its first Executive Director. Anna is a nationally recognized leader in cultural institutions known for the dynamic, innovative, and collaborative approach to building organizations, managing teams, and sharing America’s stories. Prior to joining the Foundation, Anna served as the Executive Director of the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission and as the Director of Partnerships and Public Programs for the National Woman’s Party, the historic nonprofit founded in 1913 to ensure the passage of a suffrage amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The Women’s Suffrage National Monument will be designed and created collaboratively by a team of diverse artists selected through a nationwide search. Jane DeDecker, a cofounder of the Foundation and a renowned Colorado sculptor, is the first sculptor named to the monument’s Design Team. Soon, she will be joined by artists and collaborators from across the country who will bring their skills, expertise, lived-experiences, and passion to this project.

A champion of women’s rights, Jane has completed several monuments dedicated to the heroines before us including “Ripples of Change” in Seneca Falls, the birthplace of women’s suffrage.
